Break is nice enough. It's weird not to be able to use the privacy charms whenever I want to. I guess I'll just have to go get a good old fashioned paper journal if I have any private thoughts. Less than a year since all that goes away, weird.
I guess everything from here on out is OWL prep. Not that everything before hasn't been, just moreso. It's nice to have an end in sight though.

Married to James (probably a love potion. or imperius) (this is from Harry, kind of. I think he was pushed into this)
a son who has trouble with Petunia (Son from Remus (through James) and Hermione)
dead (highly likely from Hermione)

This is all too connected to James. How likely is it that everything comes into place to give him the future he wants? Hermione is the only outlier, and he was her part of the time I was speaking to her. They could have talked afterwards and he could have set this all up. He can get girls to do things for him all the time!
I should have known. The future, what a ridiculous notion. Harry probably is his tenth cousin or something and he just forced him into this like he forces everyone else to get in line with him. That's why Harry's so shifty all the time.

I don't think Severus will ever speak to me ever again.
Is this why it happens? Does some ill-advised drunken mourning lead Potter to take advantage of me? I probably get kicked out of Hogwarts and everything.

Ok. I know. I know what's happened but I need someone who will be straight with me, I can't trust Potter and I need to know.
The future, right? The near future unless Harry is James's grandkid or something. I don't need to know anything, I can figure it out, I just need someone who isn't James. And please don't lie, say something cagey but don't lie, I'm good at this sort of thing.
And don't worry, my Charms are top notch. This isn't leaving this legens.

I have no idea what's going on with Severus. He just started being mad at me! I don't know what I did. Suddenly he just started going off on me about how I'm just like Potter, and how I'm not really his friend and I really just don't understand. It's so unbelievably frustrating!
Why does everything have to be about Potter, anyway? Before we'd just talk about how much we hated him and make jokes, but now since he started pursuing me everything has to be all serious all the time. What happened?
I'm having a civil conversation with Potter because of this! I don't even know anymore.

It seems like things are calming down a bit here. I trust that all you students from the village are starting to settle in? If you need anything, I can try to help you out.
It's been so bitterly cold outside that I haven't had a chance to walk around the grounds in quite some time. I'm getting a bit of cabin fever, the only time I move is when I'm on rounds.

Had an... interesting night in the dorms, so to speak. Have you noticed anything off the new students? I hate to say anything about it, but it's so strange I thought I would bounce some things off of you. We had already noticed the whole staring business, and now I've noticed it for me too... Some more than others.
Anyway, I'll tell you about the conversation I had once you tell me if you've noticed anything. I don't want to cause undue paranoia or anything.

You know, I'm rather enjoying this letter writing exercise of Dumbledore's. It's quite interesting. I could be writing to someone I pass in the halls every day and not notice!
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday and is getting back into the swing of school as well as can be expected. I spent the holiday with my family, it went well. My parents are always happy to see me, which is nice.
My sister and her boyfriend are getting pretty serious, I think, which is pretty awful. He's a puffy whelp of a man, and he just couldn't possibly be more unpleasant. What if I have to spend every holiday in the company of him? I don't think my parents like him either, but they are being so nice about it.

Things have been a bit odd since Dumbledore announced the people staying in the hospital wing. It seems like all anyone can talk about. How much is there to say? What a terrible thing to go through for anyone, and all anyone thinks about is what particular kind of boil they are going to get, and what was that spot on Pomfrey's forehead yesterday. I'm interested to meet them, but until I do I think I'll withhold judgement.
